Dot Day 2013

At NMES, we are getting ready for "International Dot Day" on September 15th. In Art we are all reading the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. A story about a young girl who finds her voice and passion by making a little dot. Inspiring and endearing, the book is loved by all. Look for dots coming home and when you come to visit NMES!

Also, here is a link to read an article about Peter H. Reynolds when visiting Boston. He was interviewed on "Chronicle" .

Visit Peter H. Reynolds' website Fable Vision Learning for ideas and more information about "The Dot and International Dot Day.

Plymouth Village

Student's in Mrs. Wilson's first grade class created a map of the area around Nathaniel Morton Elementary School. Student's worked together to replicate the buildings, streets, boats, stores, statues and more! Great job!!!

NMES 2nd Grade Arcade

This past June students in Mrs. Hughes 2nd grade class watched "Caine's Arcade" and were inspired to make their own cardboard games! 2nd graders study engineering and used their knowledge in art to create amazing arcade style games. This long creative process started with brainstorming, creating, critiquing, revising and finally: playing!
